Worked at the Human IVF and reproduction lab at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, Ottawa, Canada and was also awarded Canadian Govt. Commonwealth Scholarship. 1993, Expert member with the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, & also a nominated expert with the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Switzerland., Awarded international support for patenting of invention, by the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), New Delhi and TIFAC, New Delhi, 2001, Awarded support for prototype development of invention, under TePP program of TIFAC, New Delhi, 2004-2007, was involved as an IPR expert in a WHO sponsored study, on " Impact of TRIPS on Pharmaceuticals, with specific reference to Generics in India"(2006)., Awarded " Shiksha Rattan Puraskar" by the India International Friendship Society , 2007, Filed nearly 15 patents relating to different inventions, My lectures on IPRs have been widely appreciated by various organizations. Amongst the selected organizations who have invited him for lectures are IIT, Delhi; GOA Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (GPMA), Goa; SISI, Solan; Panjab University, Chandigarh; National Instt. My skills:
Advanced level Technology related skills: Adept in successful execution from bench level research to actual commercialization. Familiar with entire chain of operations beginning from conducting research, followed by protecting it through patents and eventually making it benefit society through commercialization (licensing aspects) and practical application by networking with industry. I have provided consultancy in area of Technology improvement/IPRs, to various industries. I have also successfully commercialized one of my inventions., Excellent interpersonal, communication and soft skills: e.g. human resource management, presentations, drafting, policy level planning, projections etc. Designed the entire syllabus for IPR and Technology related teaching at Post-Graduate level for Pharma/Life Sciences students at NIPER. Developed a module for training resource personnel in IPRs/technology transfer aspects, for Universities/academic institutes. Advanced level IPR skills : related to scientific research e.g. identification of patentable subject matter, drafting of patent, patent filing- national/international, removal of objections etc. , Wide area of technical exposure: Doctorate in biochemistry,with specialization in reproductive techniques. Practical exposure to protein purification, characterization, cell culture techniques. IVF and also lipid related analytical work. Also, environment pollution mitigation and development of eco-friendly technologies, especially for soil and water conservation. Holistic understanding of science. None of my patents are restricted to any one area- cover areas relating to biological purifications, surgical instruments, research instrumentation, eco-friendly and low cost technologies etc.
